"Jack, where are you going?" Jas asked, sitting up.

I couldn't look at her. "You think I'm going to stick around? You won't sleep with me for weeks, even months, yet you can go and fuck another man without hesitation. I don't care what you do anymore anyway," I muttered, grabbing my watch from the bedside table and the books I had in the drawer.

"I'm sorry," she whimpered, blowing her nose. I could hear the hopefulness in her voice, she knew her crying tore me apart. "You don't have to go."

She could cry her fucking eyes out, I really didn't care.

I looked up at her, giving her a glare through my dark blue eyes. "We're over, don't come crying back to me, asking for forgiveness. You won't get it. I mean it. We're done, I don't give a fuck about you anymore Jasmine." I was lying to myself. Trying to make myself believe that I really didn't care about her. I did. I loved her. My words were coming out through clenched teeth, anger and rage revving up fast. "I can't be with someone who betrays me like that. You did this, you broke what we had. I can never trust you again." I growled, grabbing the bag. I halted, turning to ask her a question, she spoke before I had the chance to.

"Jackson, please.." I didn't want to hear her talk. I was afraid, that she'd convince me to stay.

"Were there others?" I didn't want to know. Yet, I had to ask. "Have you fucked other men, Jasmine? Don't bother lying to me either."

She shook her head, her words soft but clear. "No, just him."

"Hope he was worth it then." Turning, I walked out of the room. I stopped once more, my voice giving away the hurt and defeat I was sinking to. "I was going to ask you to marry me." I don't know why I felt the need to tell her that. I just did.

"I still love you."

"Fuck you."

I walked out of that room, and hopefully, out of her fucking life for good.
