The first night after Caroline moves into her fantastic new San Francisco apartment, she realizes she's gaining more intimate knowledge of her new neighbour's nocturnal adventures. Thanks to paper-thin walls and the guys athletic prowess, she can hear not just his bed banging against the wall but the ecstatic response of what seems (as loud night after night goes by) like an endless parade of women. And since Caroline is currently on a self-imposed dating hiatus, and her neighbour is clearly lethally attractive to women, she finds her fantasies keep her awake even longer than the noise. So when the wall banging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts Simon Parker, her heard-but-never-seen neighbour. The tension between them is as thick as the walls are thin, and the results just as mixed. Suddenly, Caroline is finding she may have discovered a whole new definition of neighbourly... In a delicious mix of silly and steamy, Alice Clayton dishes out a hot and hilarious tale of exasperation at first sight...
This book was brilliant!! Pure Gold!
I'm in love with Simon.. Completely, utterly in love.
My cheeks ache from laughing. My heart is happy. Did I mention I love this book? I fell in love with everything - The characters, the writing, the story.. and Clive. The most awesome cat ever to grace the pages of a novel.
I read most of this with a big stupid grin plastered on my face and pretty much alternated between squealing, giggling, snorting, crying, shaking and cackling with laughter.
Simon "Wallbanger" Parker. Cocky, charming, sexy as hell, confident.. and once you get to know him better, sweep-you-off-your-feet swoony. I adored him, it's that simple. He made my list of top book boyfriends ever! I loved that his character had depth. At first you wondered if he was just bit of a man whore, but I loved that there was a whole background to him.
And its hard not to love a man who is obsessed with baked goods.
This definitely a must read! I'll warn you though, you're going to want to read it again and again!!
